The Unix Technical Lead will enable our visualization solutions in high-end enterprise environments. You will work within a team of qualified developers to achieve cutting edge solutions in an environment where team work, skills, and knowledge are highly valued. Assess existing code base for multiplatform readiness. Perform maintenance on the existing code base. Prepare technical documentation. Develop QA plans and perform initial testing. Identify potential problems and interact with other R&D team members to resolve them. Provide operational support for the UNIX (SUN SOLARIS and Linux) and CAD computing environments. Provide technical recommendations for information systems operations in the UNIX environment. Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Minimum 3 years preferred Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Computer science, Engineering, or Math Experience with all phases of software engineering. 3 years development experience in Solaris, Linux environment. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Java programming. Thorough understanding of object oriented techniques Ability to contribute designs for team implementation and manage and coordinate small to medium scale project s. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the desire to share knowledge and experience with others. Experience with Internet and Web-related technologies and protocols. Knowledge of multi-threading, JNI, 2D graphics, OpenGL, WINE APIs. Experience in supporting CAD environments.
