Business Intelligence Analyst Business Intelligence Analyst Apply: mailto:jobs@osft.com?subject=RE:_J00795P0__Business_Intelligence_Analyst The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will facilitate development and design of TFBP Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse system. This position will provide business intelligence expertise, design and develop data models by translating client user requirements into data flows; data mapping etc. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the overall ETL processes and architecture in the TFBP Cognos Business Intelligence environment. This position will perform build, test and deploy activities related to business intelligence and data warehouse implementations. In addition participate in troubleshooting, debugging technology integration problems. This position will need a strong understanding of accounting and accounting principals. Candidates will be responsible for the following: . Lead in the design, development and implementation of the Data Architecture for TFBP Business Intelligence initiatives . Provide Data Warehouse / Business intelligence expertise specifically using the Cognos tool box . Design and develop Data mart models . Translate client user requirements into data flows, data mapping, etc. . Design and deliver overall ETL processes and architecture . Develop and design technical specs . Provide direction and leadership for projects including facilitating design estimates, providing project/capacity plans, performing operational reviews, and implementing solutions . Understand and embrace best practices when designing and implementing Business Intelligence projects . Develop training materials and train users on software and hardware on-site or recommend outside contractors to provide technical training Job Experience: Candidates will possess a BA/BS degree in Information Systems Management or Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience plus 5-7 years in a professional business or IS department environment with progressive managerial experience. An MBA is a plus. 5+ years design experience is preferred in BI, ERP or a related field. The ideal candidate will be an effective presenter and communicator, both written and verbal, to both a functional and technical audience and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments. They will be a forward thinking and creative visionary with the proven ability to lead a team toward specific objectives. Strong motivator, effective negotiator, and detail-oriented with a keen 'sense of urgency'. Collaborate with other development managers, lead, help drive and constantly improve various business and technology processes. A high-level understanding of Business Intelligence development environments is required. A strong understanding of Cognos, Powerplay, ELT, and Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies is expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is required. Other: Work Conditions: Flexible workweek, hours may vary. Extended hours may be required based on business needs. Travel may be involved while attending business meeting, and meetings with outside agencies, vendors, clients and personnel. General work in a climate controlled office setting with possible work in a warehouse environment where moderate levels of noise and/or heat do occasionally occur.
