Kitty ponders: > So, let me get this straight. Jorgenson: Instead of simply saying slavery is unacceptable, we bickered for years and years and years about the social and economic benefits and losses caused by slavery. I say that bigotry is simply unacceptable. Kitty: > If you are a bigot, you are against criminals and want laws > upheld, if you are not a bigot criminals are dandy and who cares about > stinkin laws? Jorgenson: Laws are not sacred or computer commands that we must obey like robots. Some Americans wanted to enforce the rule of law to keep black folks in their place and women in the place and the Irish folks in their place and so on. It was deemed criminal to assist a man or woman or family escaping from a life of slavery. Pointing at Hispanic shoplifters to incite fear and contempt towards Hispanics and undocumented immigrants is an act of bigotry. Masking bigotry by saying you just want to enforce the rule is law is an act of dishonesty. I am sorry you got twisted along the way and yet people are just people and we should not have laws treating people like cattle or vermin that can be rounded up like cattle and vermin. It is disgusting and despicable and I do not support it. Why do you support leash laws for humans. Where a person must have a leash in the form of proper documentation or they can be detained and sent away. Lewis Vance Jorgenson Roanoke, VA

Kitty: > I can now say I've seen or read it all....................you are a nut. > Totally different issues... Yes I am nuts and I never claimed otherwise. I repeat that bigotry is the curse rather than Hispanics and undocumented immigrants kitty. I am indeed nuts to think that anybody who disagrees with that is open to honest discussion. I know of not one instance of an ilegal alien being accused of shoplifting! Yet I know of many accused of stabbings, cutting off hands with machetes, hacking people to death with large blades. I still can't figure out the fascination and obsession of cutting people to death. <breecher@lycos.com> wrote in message news:dd6qp2hse9blnb0367brdsdrm00kqm6prs@4ax.com... > On 4 Jan 2007 06:38:27 -0800, j89q8hm02@sneakemail.com wrote: > >>Note the last sentence ... >> >>http://www.manassasjm.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=MJM/MGArticle/WPN_BasicArticle &c=MGArticle&cid=1149192480923&path= >> >>In two days Prince William County police charged five people with >>attempting to steal merchandise from a Manassas-area grocery store, >>according to police. >>In all cases the customers were taking personal care items that ran the >>gamut from jock itch cream to $34 worth of deodorant from Shopper's >>Food Warehouse in the 10800 block of Sudley Manor Drive, said Officer >>John Bogert, police spokesman. >> >>Arturo Ortiz Pinedo, 22, of no fixed address was charged with petit >>larceny around 2:50 p.m. Friday after attempting to steal lip balm and >>jock itch cream, Bogert said. >> >>Juanita Ann Newman, 54, of 9760 Bragg Lane in Manassas was charged with >>concealing about $22 worth of merchandise at 5 p.m. Saturday. >> >>Around the same time, Blanco Marisol Bonilla Canales, 23, of 10081 >>Irongateway in the Manassas area was seen attempting to steal $34 worth >>of deodorant and was charged with petit larceny, Bogert said. >> >>Juan Antonio Flores Mansilla and Montenegro E.
