John: Dbase 4 will run from a dos window in XP. The problem is that the PATH statement is no longer seems to be supported in XP. You may need to put all the programs into one subdirectory. Then they should run ok. Of course, there is nothing to stop you from buying a new faster computer and loading Windows 98 back into it, assuming you stil have the CD.
