The consensus here is that Anaheim and Buffalo should be in the final.
Whoever beats them will take their place. So this one is for all the
marbles, if you can pull off an upset.

Agreed.
Although my heart wants another Ranger/Canuck final.
Jeez, does Trevor Linden ever get old?

We need a split in Buffalo to have any chance.

I'd just like to see the Rangers take on Anaheim so I can get to see them
play live. With the way the current schedules are in the NHL, they get out
here to LA LA Land once a year . . . and if they were playing for the Cup,
that would be really sweet . . . but I ain't holding my breath.

I beleive Chicago was dead last in attendance this year.
What a shame. Your building used to rock...especially with the sound of that
organ!!!

My Dad took me to a Rangers' game in 1960 and I had a hockey epiphany . . .
never wore a pair of skates in my life but I am seriously addicted to the
game . . . well, I'd have to be, considering I've been a Rangers' fan all
that time.
Sorry about the situation in Chicago. It's too bad that being a hockey fan
isn't a prerequisite for team ownership.

The Original 6 teams have had their azzes handed to them on a platter since
the big expansion, with the exception of Detroit and the Rangers lately.
The diff with Chicago is that they can't fill their building. Everywhere
else, Boston, Montreal, and Toronto, they still pack 'em in, so the owners
don't care if they suck.

Rumor has it they still make a profit too. I also read on ESPN's site they
were one of the worst sports franchises as well.

Just found it . . . sorry . . . it's been a hellacious couple of weeks here.
My wife got suspended from her gig at the hospital on trumped up charges
because, way back in August of 06 she wrote a letter to the editor of the
local paper that was critical of the hospital admin.
So we've been talking to lawyers and union reps and spending most of our
waking hours trying to put together a wrongful termination case for when they
fire her . . . which will probably be some time next week.
I've been Tivo-ing the games and watching them in the wee hours, after the
lights are out and the phone stops ringing. At this point, it'll looks like
the Rangers probably won't make it to Anaheim . . . but a win would sure go a
long way towards brightening up the environment around here for a minute or
two.
Go Rangers!
Go Missus Cheesesteak!!!
ps . . . by the way, the only thing my old lady is guilty of is trying to
keep the hospital administration from maiming or killing the patients in her
charge . . .

Sounds like the same thing that happened to Sissy Booka about twenty years
ago. The union sued and she won. She is a hospital administrator now.
