I find that this assisted living complex has email but that is all. My apartment has 1 & 1/2 bath. And friends to help me up size since I have been downsizing. I take this opportunity to thank all of you making me the luckiest person alive. john

So, John, have you moved in to the new place yet? And if typing becomes too hard, have you looked into voice recognition software? I haven't paid attention to any of what's out there, but I understand they've made great strides with it! Something to think about. I'm off for Denver tomorrow night (keeping my fingers crossed - its still a mess at the airport, but that is mostly for people waiting to get out), be back Friday. -- colomoon Today is a gift - that's why its called the Present "John" <jkm_folklore@pipeline.com> wrote > > It is becoming more difficult for me and my typing. I was wondering if you managed to get out of Alaska. I plan on moving in mid Jan. Hopefully house will be sold by then and that will relieve me of a big worry. My typing problem is not so much the typing but the fact my fat fingers are part of the tire industry --- DUNLOP <g> john "colomoon" <pameacham@gci.net> wrote in message news:12orssqb23hma87@corp.supernews.com... > > So, John, have you moved in to the new place yet? > > And if typing becomes too hard, have you looked into voice recognition > software? Hehe, good one! Hope you are getting ready to move and that all is going well. I imagine it will be a big change for you, but as I've said before, I think everyone that cares about you will feel a little relief to know that you are somewhere safe and can get help if you need it. -- colomoon Today is a gift - that's why its called the Present "John" <jkm_folklore@pipeline.com> wrote >I plan on moving in mid Jan. Ah, my adventures in traveling...my original flight was supposed to go out Dec. 20 but got cancelled due to the blizzard in Denver. I finally got out Christmas Eve and got into Denver at 6 am Christmas Day. I was supposed to come back on the 29th, but bad weather moved in on the 28th with predications of even worse on the 29th, so I was able to change my flight to New Years Day - got the last seat on that plane, otherwise I would have been there until the Thursday or Friday. Then the plane was late getting into Denver, and so late taking off. I finally got home around midnight and had to be at work the next day at 7 am. I only lasted till noon, I was so tired... But the visit with the kids was good, even with all the snow there. I have to say that snow in Anchorage is handled a lot better than in Denver, but I knew that - Denver is never ready for big snowstorms and it takes them forever to recover. And they got hit with a 1 - 2 whammy. I was glad to be able to spend a few extra days with them, especially since I was 4 days late getting there due to the first storm. Lets see, what else - there were moose outside my front door last Saturday - a mama moose and her "teenager". That was so cool... -- colomoon Today is a gift - that's why its called the Present "fmomoon" <fmomoon@comcast.net> wrote > > I was wondering if you managed to get out of Alaska. Yes, the moose were in AK and not Denver. I saw them again this morning not too far from my place, down by the creek that runs behind our buildings. -- colomoon Today is a gift - that's why its called the Present "fmomoon" <fmomoon@comcast.net> wrote > > I'm assuming that was in Alaska, not Denver.
