I was looking for new rims and tires, managed to find a web site called www.rims-n-tires.com that had what I wanted. Turns out they were based in San Jose, so I emailed them to see if I could get a better deal in person. They referred me to their store "1000 rims" at 970 Blossom Hill road in San Jose. Turns out the place is actually called "Skip's Tire" and is also registered as "Blossom Hill Goodyear"... The need for so many names becomes apparent shortly. I went down there and the manager, Pat, offered me a deal at about $60 less than their internet price, not really that low, but probably worth the convenience. Five days later the parts arrived, I went down and had everything mounted and installed. Everything was great, until I got the final bill, $120 more than the agreed price!!! The aforementioned crook completely denied having offered the discount and decided to charge me MORE than their original internet price. Strange position, as they had the wheels mounted and had my truck in their possession, not wanting to start a fight with the Aryan Brotherhood, I reluctantly signed the paperwork and left. I should have smelled something was wrong while waiting for my car. They would not write any prices down for another customer and acted somewhat strangely. The whole thing seems rather stupid, they cheated me for the price of a tank of gas, while losing a few thousand in my business over the next n years. Most businesses are run honestly, not because they are weak or stupid, but because they will make more money that way. Oh well, just avoid these crooks--I suspect they will be registering under another name soon enough. Cheers, Shawn

Quite impressed with their know-how and honesty. Five-point tire out in Redwood City is quite good too... they even shaved a tire for me once. Even more reason to kick myself. Cheers, Shawn

The Action Line is a good idea, I will do that too. Cheers, Shawn
