Subject: My older HDTV needs a tune-up

Any recommendations for a TV technician?
My particular needs:
The TV to be tuned up is too heavy for me to move. So the tech. should
be willing to drive to its location: Fremont.
The TV is an older analog HDTV. That's right, it contains a CRT.
That's why it is so heavy. Of course, I am willing to help the tech.
lift and move the monster a few feet.
I am particularly interested in correcting the geometry. I believe
that the edges of the image are being cropped. Slightly tilted, too.
Thanks for any recommendations.

Geometry problems, especially tilt, are correctable via a menu selection in
the on-screen setup. If you don't see anything in the setup for tilt, the
function is buried in a service menu, accessable via a sequence of buttons
pressed on the remote at power-up. Sometimes there's an actual button on
the back of the set to call the service menu. Once in the service menu,
you will see all sorts of adjustments, including screen size, color drives,
and convergence. Certainly something approached with caution. Re-post
your problem to one of the electronic tech forums, and be sure to include
the exact make and model of your set. Somebody there will be able to help
you with accessing the service menu and correcting the geometry problems.
