Uh, perhaps you're not aware of this, but the State Department isn't
run by the Bush administration.
Why do you waste emotional energy getting yourself riled up over
anything and everything (supposedly) to do with George W. Bush?
It's pointless. He isn't up for re-election, for one thing.
Another Republican eventually will be, of course, but at this
stage, that person has yet to be identified.
And for another, he's going to be the president -- *your* president
-- for more than another year. It looks like you're just going
to have to ride it out, so you may as well settle in for the long
haul.

Er, I seem to recall a certain...foot-dragging attitude in Foggy Bottom
back when Colin Powell was SecState.

Oh, stop. You're getting me hot. I hear the strains of "America
the Beautiful" swelling in the background, and it's hard to type
with my hand over my heart.

Justified criticism isn't the issue. *Pointless* criticism is the
issue. Bush was duly elected (no, the election was *not* "stolen"),
and so you Bush-haters may as well stop your whining. If you have
a specific beef, that's well and good. But this inecessant snivel-
ling about the mere _fact_ of a Bush presidency is tiresome.
Besides which, the criticism in question was *not* justified, and
was just plain silly. There's nothing on the referenced Web page
that was worthy of criticism. The Bearclaw Entity simply mentioned
it in order to provide dubious "context" for a non-specific sneer
at the Bush Administration.
