If you like the idea of Critical Mass, except for the part about running all the stop lights, here is alternative you might want to try: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/04/14/MNGB6P8R1U1.DTL

Wonder how many they had on their first ride, with only 4 cyclists? :>) --Mike Jacoubowsky Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReaction.com Redwood City & Los Altos, CA USA

Riding on the sidewalk? Blocking traffic? Funny though, > there were no angry motorists. We could have a series on dumb things CHP & locals do regarding bikes. At the top of the list for me would be the Tour de Peninsula, where, at the top of Edgewood, they had a big flashing CalTrans sign that read- DANGER- STEEP ROAD. BIKES USE REAR BRAKE ONLY. Hard to believe, but true. Wonder if their motorcycle division realizes the dangers of using their front brakes? --Mike Jacoubowsky Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReaction.com
