Posted comment: Legalise Opium.
Graham Green added an appendix to his novel "The Quiet American" praising
opium and describing the smell as the most intelligent odor in the world.
My experience with opium leads me to agree with him.
It is absurd that I could score heroin (or crack) on the street within half
an hour, but there is no raw opium out there, which is relatively harmless.
